What can be good for one person can be evil for others.
What is evil for you might actually be good for you, such as getting detention. You acted up, now you must learn to control yourself or else face similar or worse punishment. The ideas of good and evil vary wildly but I can see, definitely, in the modern day. How divided people have become on this idea.
This idea that people that are good are ones that fit their world view, their narrative. Their agenda. I am not picking names or say whoever, but wherever I look, no matter what side, I see many people that seem to just despise, hate and slander each other. And personally, it makes me think they hate themselves. They are projecting their fears, anxieties and darkness outwards without realizing everyone else has the same capacity. To me, every human, no, every being is equally as bright as they are dark.
Forcing others to be like you, well. It feels toxic to everyone.
Making people become like you removes their individuality but it shows me that said person cant even willingly listen to a well constructed argument. Obviously, there are things we can all agree are stupid and terrible (crime), but to reject people when you can't even listen to them? Or refuse to listen to others?
I just see people who hate themselves and hate the idea of connecting with others. If you listen, you are willing to connect and at least agree to disagree. No need to agree with everyone or even me, in this matter, but the willingness to listen is the willingness to learn and grow. Growth comes from anything little thing or person or interaction.
To grow beyond our current selves, we have to embrace the light and darkness inside of us. At least I feel that way and some others do.
