Q and A

Here are some simple questions I will answer, feel free to ask me anything. I probably will pick and choose which questions I will answer though, spoiling the plot isn't very fun, hmm?

How long have you been working on this story?

I have been planning this story for over a year and a half. My inspiration is sci fi anime, mecha, digimon, a little Gurren Laggan. A lot of eastern media was my inspiration for this story.

How old are you

34.

Are you going to post your novels or chapters elsewhere?

Good question. I am mostly interested in releasing finished light novels but have posted free online to gain interest. I already have posted my work on sites like Royal Road. I am probably just going to publish my work on amazon and other places.
Respectfully...I think people that only post chapters weekly do not have a good handle on the vision of their story. I think that would lead to a plot that is messy, lacks scope and hard to manage. It does take a long time to flesh a long running plot, but my goal is to eventually finish the story in 7 to ten years from now.

Eventually, I will probably release some "freebie" chapters, based on what other people in the community might be interested to see. Whenever I get the time. You can think of those as extra canon chapters. Otherwise, I will continue releasing light novels whenever they get done and published. Everyone will just have to patient, as I am, while I am writing.

I want to write or be part of your story!

Most likely not at the beginning. I am still fleshing out the many small details but I have a fairly clear vision of where I want to steer my story.

In the far future several arcs ahead, once I have built up enough lore, I don't mind collaborating with other authors it will simply be me supervising anything "canon" added to the story and especially any derivative novels.

People are free to write whatever fanfiction about my large and epic setting. Just obviously don't do the bad stuff, don't steal my writing, copyright infringe, pretend you have ownership over my characters, designs, ideas, etc.

Otherwise, fanfic write as you please doesn't bother me.

I want to write my own story, how should I start?

I can answer my best but I have only written two novels,. I think it it makes sense to think about a premise, an idea, then build your story around that.

It does not matter if it is a popular or niche genre, the main goal is to get people interested in your characters and narrative from the beginning. After that, its the long process of fleshing out ideas into a coherent plot, with ups and downs. I won't lie, it is difficult. But not impossible. You just have to try your best and learn, is the best advice I can offer.

Do you use AI with your writing or character Art?

I only use an AI image generator to generate references and ideas for my characters appearance. I then send those my artist to properly turn into 2d art.

I don't have a problem with using AI or chatgpt as a tool to help give me some ideas for things or names of say a planet, but relying on a unreliable tool that is known to hallucinate, lie to you, and think it knows more then it does is not great.

I am sure some people would still disagree with the idea of using AI but ultimately I don't think artists should be telling other artists completely how to perform their creative process.

Everyone has their own method of creating and implying that one or two methods are "superior" and the others are not really shows rigidity. Its fine to critique not so great to shame people for doing things you don't like.

I wanna know more about you!

I'm happy to talk and meet people, but it takes time to build new friendships. I enjoy meeting people but I am probably going to become a bit busier in the future.
